About the BEC Center

The BEC Center was established in June 2002 by the Istituto Nazionale per la Fisica della Materia. In 2006 it became part of the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) and in 2010 was incorporated into the Istituto Nazionale di Ottica (INO). The Center is hosted by the Department of Physics of the University of Trento, providing facilities and a multidisciplinary environment. Researchers and students from CNR and UniTrento work together, sharing projects and resources. The aim of the BEC Center is to promote research on Bose-Einstein condensation, ultracold atomic gases, and related interdisciplinary fields at the interface of theory and experiment.

Pitaevskii BEC Center

The Pitaevskii Center on Bose-Einstein Condensation is a joint initiative of Istituto Nazionale di Ottica, CNR & Dipartimento di Fisica, Università di Trento
