INFORMATION FOR PRESENTERS
Oral presentations
- Time allocation is 35 minutes (30 minutes talk
plus 5 minutes discussion) for invited talks and 20 minutes
(15 minutes talk plus 5 minutes discussion) for contributed
talks.
- No special format is required. We will provide an overhead
projector for transparencies, a computer projector for "ppt"
or "pdf" presentations, a laser pointer and microphones. If you
require additional capabilities, please contact us.
- For those who have not their own laptop computer, a common-use
laptop with CD-Rom and USB Port for Memory Stick will be available.
The conference laptop computer will support the latest versions
of PowerPoint and Acrobat Reader. We will have Technical Support
volunteers on hand to support you. If you use the conference laptop,
we ask you to provide your final presentation package as soon as
possible on your arrival at the conference so that we can load
your presentation in advance. Certainly we should receive your
presentation no later than during the break prior to your talk!
Please bring your presentation either on CD-ROM or USB-memory stick
to help us in this process, and
as back-up. If you use your own laptop, please check that both the
presentation and the connection with the projector work properly,
no later than during the break prior to talk. Thank you for your
cooperation in this matter.
- Please make sure your presentation is both visible and
readable to a large audience! Use large fonts!
Posters
-
Posters should be
on view for the entire duration of Symposium, from Monday afternoon
to Friday morning. In the program, however, each poster will be formally
included in one of the three Posters Sessions scheduled on Monday,
Tuesday and Thurday afternoon. During the selected session, authors
are expected to be at their poster.
- Posters must be prepared in advance and should be large enough
to be viewed clearly from a distance of one meter (1m). At the top
of the poster, the following should be well visible: the title of the paper,
the name of the authors and their affiliations. Please make your
poster sufficiently clear and simple that conference participants will want
to stop and view the poster.
- Each poster will have a display board identified by the abstract
tracking number. The poster board surface is about 118 cm wide by 150 cm
high. Your cooperation is appreciated in posting and removing the
displays on schedule and not exceeding the space allocated. Any posters
not removed by the end of the Symposium will be discarded.
